Boxelder Bugs

Boxelder bugs normally feed on leaves, flowers and seed pods of boxelder trees. These bugs cause little damage to the trees, but may drive a homeowner perfectly insane. They may number into the thousands on some trees (usually on the female or seed-bearing trees), but they may also light on the south side of your house. While having us spray the outside of your house may help alleviate the problem, the only real way to eliminate the box elder bug is to remove any and all boxelder trees around your yard, and to keep the saplings from becoming established.

If you don't want to remove the trees, try to eliminate hiding places such as piles of rocks, boards, leaves, and general debris close to the house. Also repair and close places where the bugs may enter the house, such as cracks around doors, windows and siding and in the foundation. Rake leaves, weeds, and grass at least 6 to 10 feet away from the house, particularly on the south side
